The American Dream
This image was originally taken by Margaret Bourke-White. One of the strongest photos i’ve seen. The juxtaposition of African Americans in line to receive welfare next to a billboard with an image of the ideal “American Way” symbolizing an untroubled American Dream is moving and thought provoking. Curtis Mayfield used the photo for his album There’s No Place Like America Today.
